June 3, 2026 - The park uses water provided by the City of Big Spring. The city has issued a notice that its water exceeds "Maximum Containment Level" of trihalomethanes. Learn more about this contaminant on the city's website.

May 15, 2026 - Burn ban until further notice. No wood or charcoal fires are allowed. You may use containerized fuel stoves (i.e. propane) for cooking.

March 25, 2026 - Electricity is shut off at the pavilion due to construction. Expect noise and occasional construction traffic on park roads.

If your plans change, please modify or cancel your reservation as soon as possible to allow someone else to enjoy the park.

DAY USE FEE: There is no Day Use Fee at this park.
