From October to March, prescribed burning may take place at Bastrop and Buescher State Parks. During this time, there may be partial park and amenity closures, and smoke could linger for multiple days. The Lost Pines ecosystem is fire dependent and prescribed burning is used to promote health of the ecosystem. August 28, 2024 - Burn Ban until further notice. No charcoal or wood fires allowed. You may use containerized fuel stoves (e.g. propane) for cooking. Check with the park for more information.
PARK HUNT DATES:
Dec. 27-29, Jan. 1-3
The hunts will take place on the northern side of the park which is closed to the public. There are no impacts to facilities, trails or amenities. The park will remain open for normal reservations and visitation.
If your plans change, please modify or cancel your reservation as soon as possible to allow someone else to enjoy the park.
DAY USE FEE:
$5 per person, per day for adults 13 and older.
$3 per person, per day for adults 13 and older for Group Facility Use.

Park does not have a gate.
Office hours are 8am to 4:30pm Sunday-Saturday.
POOL INFORMATION:
The Bastrop State Park Pool is open seasonally.
Reservations to enter the pool area are required for everyone. Children aged 5 and under swim for free, but still need reservations.

Each open swim session consists of 15 minutes of check-in, followed by 1 hour and 45 minutes of swim time.
Children 14 and under must be accompanies into the pool facility by a responsible adult aged 18 and older (State Park Rules & Regulations).
Inflatable pool floaties and other large pool floats are prohibited. Exceptions may be made for infants, at staff discretion. Life jackets and pool noodles available to use at no charge.
Pets, glass, and smoking are prohibited in the pool area.
Lawn chairs, food and drink are prohibited on the pool deck.
If you purchase a discounted pool ticket because you have a valid park entrance permit for that day, please bring that permit to the pool during check-in for verification.
Daily Pool Fees:
$5 per person 13 years and older, without park entrance permit. Valid for pool use only.
$3 per person 13 years and older, with park entrance permit or a City of Bastrop Recreation Membership.
$3 per person 6-12 years old.
Free for children 5 years and under.

Notes
There is no gate; no gate code is necessary for entry.
If arriving late for a camping reservation, campers can view the posted `Reservations` sheet on the kiosk outside of the Park Headquarters. To the right of their name will be the site assigned to them. Walk in campers can find an available campsite on the `Available Campsite` list. All the sites that are available in each area are listed as of the time the office closed.
All late arrivals must come up the park headquarters by 9am the next morning to check in and receive park issued entry permits.
If arriving late for Day Use, there is a kiosk located next to headquarters that serves as self-pay station. All instructions are on kiosk on how to fill out Self-Pay envelope, where to deposit money, and to place white copy on vehicle. Park closes to Day Use customers at 10pm.
FOR CABIN/LODGE/BARRACKS/BUNKHOUSE:
If arriving late, keys for your cabin are located outside the main door of the HQ building. The code for your cabin's lock box is the last 4 digits of the phone number of your reservation. Please fill out the rental agreement that is in a binder at the cabin and bring it to HQ at check in the following morning.
All late arrivals must return to the park headquarters by 9am the next morning to pay the balance on the reservation and entrance fees for length of stay.
If leaving cabin or group barracks before the headquarters opens, key drop box is on the departing side of the headquarters.
