Purtis Creek State Park, TX

September 15, 2026 - The day use fishing pier will be closed Saturday, September 19 through Monday, September 21 for repairs. The camping loop pier, lake access and shoreline fishing will remain open. Night fishing from the camping loop pier is not allowed after 10 p.m.

August 10, 2026 - Burn ban in effect until further notice. No wood or charcoal fires are allowed. You may use propane for cooking.

PARK HUNT DATES:
Oct. 24, Jan. 9, and Jan. 23
The Beaver Slide Trail, and Primitive sites A-M will be closed from 10pm the night before the hunt and will reopen at Noon on the last day of the hunt.

If arriving after the office closes, fill out a 'Self-Pay Envelope', located in the Iron Ranger, providing all information and place the white copy (receipt) on their windshields. Place the envelope portion into the Iron Ranger without depositing funds. Go to the camping area designated on your reservation and setup in any site that does not have a 'Tag' on the numbered post or someone's equipment in the site. All customers arriving after-hours must complete registration and payment at the Park Headquarters by 9am the next morning.
