August 13, 2026 - The boat ramp on FM 99 will be closed Aug. 17 - 18 for road resurfacing. Calliham, South Shore and Mason Point ramps will be open.
July 26, 2026 - Due to lake levels:
- * Exercise extreme caution when operating watercraft on the lake due to current Frio River conditions at the 99 and Mason Point boat ramps.
- * You may launch below the concrete ramp when conditions are safe. Please watch for debris in the water and launch at your own risk.
- * The following boat ramps are currently open:
- o Calliham
- o South Shore
- o Mason Point
- o Hwy 99
PARK HUNT DATES:
Calliham Unit
Jan. 5-8
The Tent Area (water only campsites) and the Hawk Alley trail will be closed 5pm January 4th until 10pm January 8th.
South Shore Unit:
Dec. 1-3
The South Shore unit is closed from 5pm the day before the hunt begins until 10pm the day the hunt ends.
If your plans change, please modify or cancel your reservation as soon as possible to allow someone else to enjoy the park.
DAY USE FEE:
$5 per day, per person 13 and older.
OFFICE AND GATE INFORMATION:
Office hours: 8:15am - 4:45pm daily.
Gate Hours: 6am to 10pm. Day Facilities must be vacated by 10pm. If arriving after 10pm, you must call the park prior to 4:45pm on your arrival date for late arrival instruction and to get gate combination.
ACTIVITY FEE:
Fishing between 10pm to 6am is $2 per person.
BOATS:
In all camping areas, there is a maximum of 2 boats allowed per site.
Bass Tournament Organizers need to call park for coordination.
ALLIGATOR SAFETY:
Spring and summer is breeding season for alligators. Use extreme caution along the shoreline. Feeding and harassing wildlife is prohibited.

Gates are locked at Calliham Unit and South Shore Unit (Day Use only) between 10pm & 6am
If arriving after office hours for Day Use, use the self-pay station located outside park headquarters.
If arriving after office hours for overnight fishing, pay Day Use fees and pay an additional overnight activity fee of $2 per person using the self-pay station. Unless you pay in the park office before closing time, the park is unable to give the gate combination.
If you have a reservation, call the park office before 5pm if they will be arriving after 10 pm in order to get the gate combination. A late arrival site assignment/available campsite list is placed on the enclosed bulletiin board at park headquarters nightly for overnight campers. Customers that will be leaving before the park office opens at 8 a.m., they may pay for their site and day use fees by utilizing the self-pay station located outside of the park headquarters. A fee schedule is posted on the sliding glass door at headquarters.
FOR CABIN:
Cabin will be left unlocked before close of business if reserved before 4:45pm.
