January 29, 2025 - With the recent rains, the water wells at the park have recovered. Porta potties will be shut down on January 31 and restrooms and showers will be available.
Please continue to use water wisely when you visit. Bring your own drinking water or you can buy bottled water at headquarters.
January 3, 2025 - Burn ban in effect until further notice. No fires that produce an ember, ash, or spark. Visitors may use devices with an on/off switch that uses propane or similar product.
Prescribed burns are planned during this timeframe (October-March), depending on weather and other factors. Prescribed fire operations and associated smoke may impact your visit. Some camping areas, lodging facilities, trails, and day-use areas may be closed for public safety. Contact the park to learn how this may affect your stay.
Reservations required on weekends (Saturday/Sunday), school breaks and holidays. Recommended all other days.
The Summit Trail and all other elevated trails may be closed after any wet weather to preserve the natural features or for safety reasons.
