February 10, 2026 - A deck replacement project begins on February 16, 2026.
The deck, restrooms, ice, and water fountain will inaccessible during the project. Potable water is available between headquarters and the parking lot to the west. Bottled water is available at the park store during regular business hours.
February 2, 2026 - The park is under a burn ban. No ash-producing fires (wood or charcoal) are allowed. You may use containerized fuel stoves for cooking.
Prescribed burns are planned during this timeframe (October-March), depending on weather and other factors. Prescribed fire operations and associated smoke may impact your visit. Some camping areas, lodging facilities, trails, and day-use areas may be closed for public safety. Contact the park to learn how this may affect your stay.
Reservations required on weekends (Saturday/Sunday), school breaks and holidays. Recommended all other days.
The Summit Trail and all other elevated trails may be closed after any wet weather to preserve the natural features or for safety reasons.
