Huntsville State Park will need to close the park on June 17th-18th in order to conduct natural resource management. Natural resource management activities are a routine part of the mission of Texas State Parks to provide the best possible experience for our guests while maintaining a stable, healthy environment in the park.
Prescribed burns are planned during this timeframe (November-April), depending on weather and other factors. Prescribed fire operations and associated smoke may impact your visit. Some camping areas, lodging facilities, trails, and day-use areas may be closed for public safety. Contact the park to learn how this may affect your stay.
If your plans change, please modify or cancel your reservation as soon as possible to allow someone else to enjoy the park.
DAY USE FEE:
$7 per day, per person 13 and older.
$2 per day per person for Group Entrance. The Group Entrance rate applies to Group Rec Hall Rental. Must request with park manager and with prior arrangements made at the park.
We have a very high volume of visitors on Saturdays, Sundays, holidays and school breaks. We close when we reach capacity..
You can purchase Save the Day passes up to 30 days before your visit with the new state parks reservation system..
ACTIVITY FEE:
Activity fee of $2 charged for non-campers if arriving after hours to receive the gate code.
OFFICE AND GATE INFORMATION:
Gate is open from 6am to 10pm. If you will be a late arrival, you must call the park prior to 5pm on arrival date for late arrival instructions.
HQ Office Hours: Mon. – Thurs. 8a-4:30pm, with extended weekend hours.
Trail rides are no longer available and customers may not bring horses to the park.
