Save the Day Passes

Many parks fill to capacity on weekends and holidays. Pre-purchase a day pass and guarantee your entry and parking. Day passes are:
  • Only valid for entry during the time slot you select. Once you enter, you may stay in the park for the rest of the day.
  • Valid until 10 p.m., unless the park closes earlier.
  • Available up to 1 month in advance.
  • Not transferrable to another person or park.
  • Also sold at the park, if available.

When the park reaches maximum capacity it will close to day-use visitors without a reservation. Closures are common on weekends and holidays so reservations are highly recommended. If you are planning to visit for the day, please arrive early and have a back-up plan in case of a closure.

Access to trails across Onion Creek may be affected by creek conditions due to rainfall. Please contact the park for trail access information.

Driving Directions

In Austin, from the intersection of Hwy 71 & 183, take Hwy 183 south approximately 1.7 miles to McKinney Falls Parkway, turn right, go approximately 3 miles to the park entrance on the right.

From San Antonio:
Take IH35 North to Austin, take the WM Cannon Dr exit. turn right on WM Cannon Dr to McKinney Falls Parkway, at McKinney Falls Pkwy turn left, park is 1 mile on the left.
