Prescribed burns are planned during the timeframe of January-April, depending on weather and other factors. Prescribed fire operations and associated smoke may impact your visit. Some camping areas, lodging facilities, trails, and day-use areas may be closed for public safety. Contact the park to learn how this may affect your stay.

March 19, 2024 - The Commemorative Mission and overnight camping in the park will be closed beginning July 1, 2023 through the end of December 2024 for improvements.

The park will be open for Day Use. The Interpretive Center, Rice Family Log Cabin, and limited hiking trails will be available.

If your plans change, please modify or cancel your reservation as soon as possible to allow someone else to enjoy the park.

DAY USE FEE:
$3 per day, per person 13 and older.

OFFICE AND GATE INFORMATION:
This park does not have a gate.

TOUR INFORMATION:
The Group School-Sponsored Trip Tour Fee is $1 per person.

SWIMMING:
No Swimming at the park. You may swim at Ratcliff Lake, 12 Miles Away. Contact park for info. and Reservations on the Mission San Francisco De Los Tejas. (Mission Commemorative Structure). Groups or individuals may use this mission.

Notes

There is no gate; no gate code is necessary.

If arriving late, campers can view availability on the whiteboard posted on the front of the headquarters building. Sites marked as 'available' show the availability at the time the Headquarters closed for the day. Choose one of the sites that are available and that coincide with the type of site you have reserved. Late arrivals must come to the park Headquarters by 9am the next morning to register and pay any outstanding balance and any required entrance fees for the length of the stay.

If arriving after 5pm for Day Use, there is a self-pay station located by the park Headquarters. Instructions for filling out the self-pay envelope are provided. Place the white copy on the inside windshield of the vehicle. Day use for the park closes at 10pm.
