January 17. 2025 - The Park is currently under a temporary burn ban due to high winds. No open, ash-producing fires allowed. You can use charcoal in a covered grill, or containerized fuel stoves (i.e. propane), for cooking purposes only. Contact the park for the latest information.
Prescribed burns are planned during the timeframe of September-April, depending on weather and other factors. Prescribed fire operations and associated smoke may impact your visit. Some camping areas, lodging facilities, trails, and day-use areas may be closed for public safety. Contact the park to learn how this may affect your stay.
March 25, 2024 - The lower part of the park is closed for public use due to flood damage.
The Group Picnic Pavilions (Rock Tabernacle, Wood Tabernacle and Breezeway) & the river bottom area; including water only campsites, and fishing access are closed for repairs and cleanup from prior flooding.
Groups are also required to pay daily entry fees for participants 13 and older. Wedding Parties must contact the park one week prior to the arrival date for information regarding decorations. Please be advised and plan accordingly.
