Noember 2, 2024 - Campsites with water and electricity are closed due to a wastewater treatment plant project. The Twin Falls Trail remains open. Check back for updates or contact the park for more information.

November 15, 2024 - The park is currently under a burn ban. No ash-producing fires (wood or charcoal) allowed in park fire rings or grills. You may use containerized fuel (i.e. propane). Please contact the park for the latest information.

Prescribed burns are planned during this timeframe (September-March), depending on weather and other factors. Prescribed fire operations and associated smoke may impact your visit. Some camping areas, lodging facilities, trails, and day-use areas may be closed for public safety. Contact the park to learn how this may affect your stay.

PARK HUNT DATES:
Nov. 25-27, Dec. 17-19, Jan. 7-9
The entire park will be closed from 10pm the night before the first day of the hunt and will reopen at 8am the day after the hunt ends.

WARNING: The Pedernales River running through the park can flash flood with little or no warning. The water in the river can rise from a placid stream to a raging torrent in a few minutes. If you are in the river area & notice the water beginning to rise you should leave the river area IMMEDIATELY.

If your plans change, please modify or cancel your reservation as soon as possible to allow someone else to enjoy the park.

DAY USE FEE:
$6 per day, per person 13 and older.

OFFICE AND GATE INFORMATION:
Gate open from 8:00am to 10:00pm.
Office is open 8:00am – 4:30pm daily, with possible extended hours on weekends or holidays if staffing allows.

Park has 10 miles of Equestrian trails.

Notes

Overnight customers with reservations who may be arriving after 5pm must call the office at 830-868-7304 before 5pm on the day of their scheduled arrival to get the gate code. Gates currently close at 10pm and reopen at 8am. After hours campsite assignments will be posted at headquarters.

Customers with reservations: View the posted 'Late Arrival' notice at the Self-Pay Station just outside of Park Headquarters. Fill out self-pay ticket. Enclose fee for entry, or indicate Texas State Parks Pass card #, pass holder name and zip code. Apply white portion to windshield and deposit envelope into Self-Pay box. Proceed to the site number indicated, or select a vacant site if no number indicated. Return to Headquarters by 9 am to complete check-in and pay any additional fees for reservations with multiple nights. If you are unsure, refer to the list of the posted park fees.

Customers without reservations, view the posted 'Late Arrival' notice at the Self-Pay Station just outside Park Headquarters. If you see 'No Vacancies' posted, all sites are reserved. Otherwise, fill out self-pay ticket. Enclose a deposit equal to the site fee for one night, plus the per person entry fee, or indicate Texas State Parks Pass card #, pass holder name and zip code. Apply white portion to windshield and deposit envelope into Self-Pay box. Proceed to a vacant campsite and return to Park Headquarters by 9 am to complete check-in and pay additional fees for additional nights. If you are unsure, refer to the list of the posted park fees.

After Hours day use customers ' fill out self-pay ticket enclosing correct payment, cash or check only, or indicate Texas State Parks Pass card #, pass holder name and zip code. Park Closes to Day use customers at 10 pm. If fishing or stargazing after hours, include $2 activity fee per person. Apply white portion to windshield and deposit envelope into Self-Pay box.

FOR GROUP CAMP:
After Hours Youth Group Area check in: Main contact must call park Headquarters at 830-868-7304 during hours of operation to arrange to have gate unlocked to provide access to Youth Group Area. Financially responsible party must return to park Headquarters by 9 am the next day to complete check-in. License plate numbers for all vehicles, and complete head count of each adult and each child required for each vehicle. If group has a Youth Group Pass, must be provided at time of check-in.

FOR GROUP CAMP EQUESTRIAN:
< If you will be arriving after hours for the Equestrian Group Camp, the main contact must call park Headquarters at 830-868-7304 during hours of operation to arrange to fax copies of current Coggins for each horse coming onto park property and to obtain the gate code for access to the Equestrian Group Camp. Financially responsible party must return to park Headquarters by 9 am the next day to complete check-in.
