January 8, 2026 - Burn Ban until further notice. No charcoal or wood fires allowed. You may use containerized fuel stoves (e.g. propane) for cooking.
From October to March, prescribed burning may take place at Bastrop and Buescher State Parks. During this time, there may be partial park and amenity closures, and smoke could linger for multiple days. The Lost Pines ecosystem is fire dependent and prescribed burning is used to promote health of the ecosystem. If your plans change, please modify or cancel your reservation as soon as possible to allow someone else to enjoy the park.
DAY USE FEE:
$5 per day, per person 13 and older.
ACTIVITY FEE:
Activity Use fee of $5 per person day or overnight.
OFFICE AND GATE INFORMATION:
Office hours are from 8am to 4:30pm daily.
Gate is open at all times except for emergencies.
FISHING:
Swimming is not allowed in the lake at this park. It is for fishing only.

Notes
All walk-ins (campers without a reservation) must use the self-pay station and envelopes which cover payment of per person Entry Fee and Site Fee before picking an available site. After 4:30pm the site availability sheet will be posted at self-pay kiosk. All customers arriving after hours must register at the Park Headquarters by 9am the next morning.
Our office hours are 8:00am-4:30pm.
All reservations will need to check in at the office so we may confirm your license plate number, number of occupants, and provide you with our park permits. Check in for campsites is 2:00 check out is noon. Any reservations arriving after office hours will need to check in the next day by 9:00am.
FOR SCREENED SHELTER/ MINI CABIN:
If arriving after office hours you will find an envelope with the last name of the reservation written on it. This will be hanging up by the office door. In the envelope you will find a park map, trail map, and a facility agreement. The facility agreement will need to be read and signed. Please bring it to the office at check-in. If you have a cabin or shelter with a lock, your code to get in is the last four digits of the phone number used on the reservation plus the # sign. Example: 1234#
Screen shelter check in is 2:00pm check out is noon.
Mini cabin check in is 3:00 pm check out at 11:00am
No pets are allowed in the shelters or cabins and are not allowed to be left unattended outside.
