February 25, 2026 - No wood fires are allowed. You may use charcoal and containerized fuel stoves (i.e. propane) for cooking.
Prescribed burns are planned during the timeframe of January-April, depending on weather and other factors. Prescribed fire operations and associated smoke may impact your visit. Some camping areas, lodging facilities, trails, and day-use areas may be closed for public safety. Contact the park to learn how this may affect your stay.
If your plans change, please modify or cancel your reservation as soon as possible to allow someone else to enjoy the park.
DAY USE FEE:
$4 per day, per person 13 and older.
OFFICE AND GATE INFORMATION:

The Group School-Sponsored Trip Tour Fee is $1 per person.
SWIMMING:
No Swimming at the park. You may swim at Ratcliff Lake, 12 Miles Away. Contact park for info.
ELECTRIC SITES:
Our shaded back-in electric sites have a picnic table, lantern pole, waist-high grill, and water. Sites 1-6 are 30 amp electric, and 7-15 are 30/50 amp electric.
PRIMITIVE HIKE-IN SITES:
To ensure availability and to help protect the natural setting of these sites, they are park reservable only.
We have five hike-in primitive campsites as well as a hike-in group primitive campsite for visitors looking for a more secluded, back-to-nature experience. These campsites are located approximately 0.5 to 1 mile down the trail and are accessible by foot only. There is no vehicle access to these sites.

Call 512-389-8920 to reserve the Scout Camp, Pavilion, or the Mission San Francisco De Los Tejas. (Mission Commemorative Structure). Groups or individuals may use this mission.

Notes
There is no gate; no gate code is necessary.
If arriving late, campers can view availability on the whiteboard posted on the front of the headquarters building. Sites marked as 'available' show the availability at the time the Headquarters closed for the day. Choose one of the sites that are available and that coincide with the type of site you have reserved. Late arrivals must come to the park Headquarters by 9am the next morning to register and pay any outstanding balance and any required entrance fees for the length of the stay.
If arriving after 5pm for Day Use, there is a self-pay station located by the park Headquarters. Instructions for filling out the self-pay envelope are provided. Place the white copy on the inside windshield of the vehicle. Day use for the park closes at 10pm.
