April 19. 2024 - Significant flooding is expected to the Greenbelt unit of the park. The entire river paddling trail and all trails south of the FM 428 access are closed.
February 20, 2024 - The Greenbelt 380 access and some trails south of the overlook are closed due to heavy rains and flooding. These closures include the Clear Creek Loop, and Cottonwood Crossing trails.
Prescribed burns are planned during this timeframe (November-April), depending on weather and other factors. Prescribed fire operations and associated smoke may impact your visit. Some camping areas, lodging facilities, trails, and day-use areas may be closed for public safety. Contact the park to learn how this may affect your stay.
October 6, 2022 - This county is under a quarantine to prevent the spread of the emerald ash borer to other areas of the state. This means movement of firewood is restricted.
Please buy firewood where you burn it to prevent the spread of diseases and pests.
