December 15, 2023 - The Floating Primitive Campsite is closed for extensive repairs until further notice.

Beach conditions experience seasonal variation. There are 75 primitive beach camping sites which can be reserved at the park only on the day of arrival pending beach and tide conditions. There are no facilities, so you'll need to bring a portable pen or tether your horse to a trailer. No horses permitted in the Piping Plover campground.

During early teal season and waterfowl season, the boat ramps beside the cabin may experience heavy use early in the morning starting at 4:30 AM. Early teal season (varies but usually last 2.5 weeks September) and waterfowl season (varies but usually end of October to the end of November and then middle of December till the end of January).

If your plans change, please modify or cancel your reservation as soon as possible to allow someone else to enjoy the park.

DAY USE FEE:
$3 per day, per person 13 and older.

OFFICE AND GATE INFORMATION:
Daily Office hours are:
Sunday-Saturday 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. (hours may fluctuate according to season/staffing)

Gate is open from 6am - 10pm.
Self-pay station available at park entrance for payment of fees for after-hour arrivals.

State Park Rules and Regulations are being enforced by State Park Police Officers. If you have an emergency, call 911.

We charge an excess vehicle fee for each vehicle over the maximum allowed for your site.

Sea Rim State Park is located in a marshland area and throughout the year mosquitoes can be a major nuisance. Please plan accordingly.

Park and gates close to Day Use customers at 10pm.

If arriving after hours, customers with reservations should contact Sea Rim State Park at (409) 971-2559 before 6:30 pm on the day of your arrival to get the gate code and cabin key.

All overnight customers must register at the Park Headquarters by 9am the next morning. Late arrivals for the Floating Primitive Campsite will be required to primitive camp on the beach until proper registration the following day.
