April 10, 2024 - Some roads are closed due to heavy rains and flooding. Please obey all traffic signs and do not drive around traffic barriers/cones. Check back for updates.

Prescribed burns are planned during this timeframe (December-April), depending on weather and other factors. Prescribed fire operations and associated smoke may impact your visit. Some camping areas, lodging facilities, trails, and day-use areas may be closed for public safety. Contact the park to learn how this may affect your stay.

September 5, 2023 - The Silver Canoe Park Store and Boat Rentals are closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays until Memorial Day, 2024.

Grills and deep fryers are prohibited in portions of the day-use area, including the designated swim area/bath house/parking lot, the park store area, and the area directly adjacent to the playground.

Diving or swimming directly around the fishing piers and boat ramp is prohibited. Divers must check-in and out at the park headquarters, during business hours.

If your plans change, please modify or cancel your reservation as soon as possible to allow someone else to enjoy the park.

DAY USE FEE:
$6 per day, per person 13 and older.

OFFICE AND GATE INFORMATION:
Park does not have a gate. Day Use hours are 8am to 10pm.

Park office Hours are 8:30am-4:30pm daily. Seasonally the park stays open later on Friday through Sunday.

An honor box at headquarters is used to collect camping and day use fees when the office is closed.

Park Store Open year round; Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day Open daily. Tuesday following Labor Day through Friday before Memorial Day, Park Store is closed Tuesday and Wednesday.

SWIMMING:
Swimming is prohibited Sunset to Sunrise.

FIREWOOD:
Firewood is available at the park.

Notes

There is no gate; no gate code is necessary for entry.

If arriving after hours, a camping reservation listing will be posted at the Headquarters Late Arrival Board. Campers with reservations should proceed to your reserved campsite. All after-hours customers without a prior camping reservation must use the green self-pay station located at Headquarters. Fill out the envelope and make proper payment before proceeding to an available site labeled with a Green A on the site number post. Adhere the top white sheet to the left side of your windshield. All overnight customers arriving after hours must register at the Park Headquarters between 8:40 am and 10:00 am the next morning.

Cabin and Shelter Reservations:
If arriving after hours, you must call the Park Headquarters at 903-597-5338 to let them know you will be a late arrival before 3:00 pm daily, a reservation listing with your cabin assignments will be posted at the Headquarters Late Arrival Board. Cabins will be left unlocked. All customers arriving after hours must register at the Park Headquarters between 8:40 am and 10:00 am the next morning to register and receive your key. .
