December 12, 2024 - Trails are open. Tracks are visible.

November 18, 2024 - Burn ban until further notice. No wood or charcoal fires allowed. Containerized fuel stoves (i.e. propane) with a shut-off valve are allowed for cooking.

Prescribed burns are planned during this timeframe (October-April), depending on weather and other factors. Prescribed fire operations and associated smoke may impact your visit. Some camping areas, lodging facilities, trails, and day-use areas may be closed for public safety. Contact the park to learn how this may affect your stay.

If your plans change, please modify or cancel your reservation as soon as possible to allow someone else to enjoy the park.

DAY USE FEE:
$8 per day, per person 13 and older.

OFFICE AND GATE INFORMATION:
All day use visitors can stay until the park closes at 10 p.m. No re-entry is allowed after 10 p.m.

No overnight facilities for horses. Must be able to stake horses without damage to resources.

Notes

Day users arriving after hours without a reservation must use the self-pay station. Campers arriving after hours will find their check-in packet labeled with the last name on the reservation on the board located in the foyer of Park Headquarters. Campers without a reservation must register at Park Headquarters by 9 a.m. the next morning.

Maps are located in the self-pay station.

It is highly recommended you arrive at least one hour before dark if you are camping in the Primitive hike-in sites and not familiar with the area.
