July 25, 2022 - This county is under a quarantine to prevent the spread of the emerald ash borer to other areas of the state. This means movement of firewood is restricted.
Please buy firewood where you burn it to prevent the spread of diseases and pests.

The Argentine Ant, an invasive species, has been identified in some campsites in Martin Creek Lake State Park. The ants do not sting. Texas Parks and Wildlife Dept is working with experts to reduce the ants without harming natural resources. Before leaving, thoroughly inspect your vehicle, RV, camping gear, and other equipment; If you see the ants, please notify park staff immediately and they can offer guidance for treating. For park-specific questions, please contact the park headquarters at 903-836-4336.

If your plans change, please modify or cancel your reservation as soon as possible to allow someone else to enjoy the park.

We charge an excess vehicle fee for each vehicle over the maximum allowed for your site.

DAY USE FEE:
$4 per day, per person 13 and older.

OFFICE AND GATE INFORMATION:
Gate is open from 6am to 10pm. If you will be a late arrival, you must call the park prior to 5pm on arrival date for late arrival instructions.

The gate locks at 10pm and opens at 6am daily. The gate is automatic and you will enter a four digit gate code at the keypad before the Headquarters. (

FOR SCREENED SHELTER/CABIN:
Screened Shelters and Cabins must be reserved prior to the office closing on the day of arrival.

FOR CAMPSITES/PAVILION:
Any campers that plan to arrive after the office closes on any given day should contact the park office at 903-836-4336 ahead of time to obtain the gate code. If arriving late, campers with reservations can view the 'Late Arrival' sheet posted on the fee window at the headquarters building. If available site numbers are not posted, then campers are free to choose any unoccupied site of the type that was reserved. All late arrivals must check-in at the park office by 9am the following morning to pay any remaining balance on the reservation and any associated entrance fees and or excess vehicle fees for the length of the stay.

If you arrive after hours to camp overnight without a reservation, you can use the self-pay kiosk for the first night of occupation without reservations only if sites are available.

If arriving for Day-Use after the office closes, customers must utilize the self-pay station kiosk located just past the fee window at headquarters. Instructions for how to fill out a self-pay envelope, where to deposit the money and to place white copy on vehicle can be found on the kiosk. Park closes to Day-Use at 10pm. Any customers that are not camping and have not obtained an overnight activity permit for non-camper use of fishing pier or boat ramp from the office during business hours must be out of the park before the gates lock at 10pm.
