Take a rugged hike to the Fate Bell and Fate Bell Annex rock shelters. Protected by a huge cliff overhang, the shelters hold some of the most spectacular rock art in Texas. Tours are available Wednesday - Sunday at 10 a.m., with afternoon tours available seasonally based on conditions. Tours will be cancelled in extreme temperatures and/or rain. Tours begin promptly at scheduled start times, and late arrivals will not be permitted to join a tour in progress. Tour participants should arrive 20-30 minutes early, to allow adequate time for check-in with park staff.
This tour is rated as difficult and moderately strenuous. Tour participants must be able to climb a substantial number of uneven, steep stairs, requiring good balance and a moderate level of fitness.
Join us for a drive down the Rio Grande Trail to the Panther Cave Overlook. This trip will take you to the southernmost point of the park, which overlooks the place where Seminole Canyon intersects the Rio Grande River. Your guide will provide a general overview of the park and its history along the way and will help you spot the "panther" at Panther Cave. Bring your binoculars to get a better view!
Tour availability is limited, based on staffing and trail conditions. Tour is non-reservable - tickets are only available in-person, at the park. Call the park for information about upcoming van tours.
