OFFICE AND GATE INFORMATION: The State Natural Area is CLOSED Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. Entrance gate is open from 8am to 4pm (Friday-Monday only). Office is open from 8:30am - 4:30pm (Friday-Monday only). Day pass users are required to exit the SNA via the automated gate by 10:00 PM, Friday-Sunday. All users are required to exit the SNA by 5:00 PM, Monday. Access to the SNA requires completion of an orientation conducted at Headquarters. The State Natural Area is accessed by a county road, Dolan Creek Rd. (a rough gravel surface 22 miles from Highway 277). Recommended tires should be of 8 ply rating minimum to prevent flats and blowouts. Nearest service station is 25 miles away & is not open all the time. The nearest full service station is 65 miles away in Del Rio. Dolan Falls is not located on Texas Parks and Wildlife Department park property. The falls can only be accessed via downriver paddle trip. Getting There: Roads to the State Natural Area include rough gravel surfaces after leaving the highway. Recommended tires should be of 8 ply rating minimum to prevent flats and blowouts. The nearest full-service station is 62 miles away in Del Rio.Please be respectful of speed limits on these rough dusty roads. From Del Rio: Take Hwy 277 North to Loma Alta, then 3.5 miles North to Dolan Creek Road. Turn left and go 22 miles to park headquarters. From San Antonio: Take I-10 West to Sonora. Take Hwy 277 South for 43 miles. Turn right on Dolan Creek Rd. Go 22 miles to park headquarters. Contact Information:
