Bentsen-Rio Grande Valley State Park, TX

March 25, 2024 - Le Chez Bleu Bistro has closed for the season as of March 24, 2024.

Le Chez Bleu Bistro Cafe hours are Fridays-Mondays and Wednesdays 10am-2pm November - April.

August 16, 2021 - Main visitor parking lot will be closed to public for resurfacing August 16-18. Visitors are encouraged to get dropped off, walk, or bike for access into the park. The park will remain open during regular hours with Shuttle Services on Thursday-Sunday starting at 9:00am. Please plan ahead if you are planning on visiting Bentsen these dates.

The park store closes at 5pm, and the last park shuttle is at 4:00pm. If you are arriving after 4:00pm you will need to walk or bicycle into the park with your camping equipment. The distance to the walk in primitive camping area is 3/4 mile to site from the parking lot.

All customers need to park their vehicles in the customer parking area. An entrance exhibit display that includes a park map is located in the parking lot.

A Park Map will be taped to the east door of the park store with the name of reservation with the assigned site(s) with the additional open sites that are available.

All customers and overnight customer need check in and pay at the self-pay station located near the entrance into the park. An entrance kiosk with instructions of the payment process is located adjacent to the honor box.

You must stop by the Texas State Parks Store/customer Center before 9am to check in and renew for any additional nights.
