Save the Day Passes

Many parks fill to capacity on weekends and holidays. Pre-purchase a day pass and guarantee your entry and parking. Day passes are:
  • Valid until 10 p.m., unless the park closes earlier.
  • Available up to 1 month in advance.
  • Not transferrable to another person or park.
  • Also sold at the park, if available.

March 12, 2023 - The river paddling trail is closed due to dangerous flooding. All hiking, biking, and equestrian trails are also closed south of the FM 428 access to the U.S. Highway 380 access, which is also closed.

Driving Directions

Elm Fork Access:
From Dallas or Ft. Worth - Take I 35 North to Sanger. Take FM 455 East for 10 miles to the park.
From McKinney - Take Hwy 380 West to Hwy 377. Then North on Hwy 377 to FM 455. Take FM 455 West for 4 miles to the park.

FM 428 Access:
From Dallas or Ft. Worth – Take I 35 North to Denton. Take Loop 288 N for 5 miles. Take FM 428 E for 5.5 miles to the park.
From McKinney – Take Hwy 380 West to Hwy 377. Then North on Hwy 377 to FM 428. Take FM 428 West for 4 miles to the park.

Hwy 380 Access:
From Dallas or Ft. Worth – Take I 35 North to Denton. Take Loop 288 N for 4 miles. Take Hwy 380 E for 2.5 miles to the park.
From McKinney – Take Hwy 380 West for 21 miles to park.
